Kirsten Gartner, the director of First Church Respite at First United Methodist Church in Pensacola, FL, was interviewed by the local ABC affiliate, WEAR Ch. 3, about the Respite for All ministry that opened last November.

“We serve people living with mild to moderate symptoms of Alzheimer’s and dementia,” Gartner said. ” We offer a two-day a week program for four hours a day where we do activities just like these activities that you can see; balloon, volleyball, brain stimulating activities, music, and just socialization for people who might not be able to get out of the house. It also provides respite for their caregivers.”
