The Daily News in Galveston County, Texas, featured an article about Apollo: Respite for All, a new RFA community that launched on May 1 at Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church in the Nassau Bay area of Houston.
“We began in the summer of 2024 when our rector, the Rev. Mike Stone, of St. Thomas the Apostle Church (in nearby Nassau Bay) wondered about the unmet needs of our neighborhoods and communities,” said the Rev. Sean Steele, who serves as both associate rector and the director of Apollo. “Through some conversations and discernment, he realized that families in the mild to moderate stages of dementia need a community of support and a place for rest. Through some church connections he came across the Respite for All Foundation out of Alabama and learned about their model of community care and support.”
