RFA’s amazing leader, Daphne Johnston, is a great coach and team builder for a national mission to spread the concepts of respite ministries that support individuals living with dementia.

Because this calling is so natural to her, it probably comes as no surprise that her parents were key influences. Her father, David, was a high school teacher and coach, and her mother, Barbara, organized elder camps for her county extension service.

Daphne was also a starter in high school volleyball and basketball in Anniston, Alabama, where she was a “coach on the floor” for her teams, and she continued to shine in basketball at LaGrange College in Georgia. And this past weekend, Daphne was inducted into the Calhoun County Sports Hall of Fame.

We couldn’t be prouder of our MVP! You can read more about her award in this article.
