On March 29, the Side by Side Choir at First United Methodist Church in Montgomery, AL performed for the first time in two years in front of an enthusiastic audience in the church’s fellowship hall. The choir’s post-COVID return was not just about sharing music and hope but was also about making a difference. The choir’s performance was slated as their first-ever benefit concert, inspiring attendees to give $5,000 in relief funds for Ukraine. It was an amazing performance and was a testimony that people living with dementia can still make a difference in their community!
