New Respite Ministry to Open in Paris, TN
We are excited to welcome Trinity United Methodist Church in Paris, TN, to the Respite for All network and to share the feature article about the R.E.S.T. Respite Care Program in My Paris Magazine.
As My Paris Magazine explains, “Beginning July 11, Trinity United Methodist Church will become the site of the R.E.S.T. Respite Care Program aimed to provide enrichment, engagement and social contacts for individuals – identified as ‘friends’ — with early to mid-stage dementia and reduce burnout of their caregivers.”
R.E.S.T. is an acronym for Renew, Engage, Support and Trust that highlights the renewal and engagement that occurs with the lives of friends, caregivers and volunteers; the support caregivers receive and trust in God for this ministry of service to the community.
